James is a composer, artist and writer based in Leeds, UK. His music is characterised by it's time based forms, exploring temporal perception and extended sound cycles. James imposes fragility in his work through breaking textures and dense breath cycles, exploring how length of comfortable breath impacts the timbre of dying notes. James often uses electronics and field recordings to manipulate a sense of space in his work, utilising portable speakers and experimenting with output methods to create an immersive space for an audience to experience his music.
James recently achieved a first class honours degree in Music and Music Psychology at the University of Leeds
